8 lbs., 4 oz. and 21 inches long (which makes her bigger at birth than her brothers!)
She is also named after her two grandmothers.

2008 is on its way out, but not before it welcomes a new little bundle of joy! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new niece/cousin! We will update this post as we get more news.

And also, this marks post #100 for 2008! Wow - that's a lot of bloggin'!

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year, hard to believe it was Alex's THIRD one! We were "bad parents" last night and let him stay up late because we just enjoyed watching him play with all of his presents. We didn't want to interrupt him, he looked like he was having so much fun! Here's a comparison of the past few years, see how much he's grown:

30 Pound Lolcat

12 days until Christmas and the cards are out!


Lincoln decided to jump right on them once I finished putting the stamps on. And then, about 2 hours later, I found he was also laying on my cell phone, when someone called me and he started vibrating. I decided to create my own Lolcat in honor of the Seinfeld Christmas card episode.

Gift Idea!

15 days until Christmas, and if you're still wondering what to get me as a gift, here are some hints...

Hint #1: While not technically made out of gold, it has in fact been described as "golden".

Welcome, Baby Barrett!

18 more days until Christmas...and a new cousin!



Baby Barrett Eric was born at 7:20 p.m. today. He is a big boy like his dad (and cousin) - weighing in at 9 lbs., 2 oz.! His mom and dad are doing well! He is just so sweet and Grandma Dianne says that he looks just like his dad did when he was born, except with a head of black hair. We're all now anxiously awaiting his other cousin!

St. Nicholas Day

19 days and counting...
We celebrated St. Nick's Day with Alex today, it was something we did growing up and thought it would be fun to continue. Alex put his boot out last night and this morning it was filled with a couple small gifts from St. Nick, along with a note from him reminding him to "be a good boy" for Santa Claus.

Quit making me eat pop-tarts!
