Lincoln is a big cat originally from the mean streets of Chicago now living in the idyllic burbs of Iowa. He blogs about life in general - focusing on the little ankle biters who generally leave him alone and don't pull his tail or whiskers.
When I was pregnant with Andrew, we realized that we would have a short time with two kids under two. It turned out to be 15 days exactly. She is doing a really great with her new baby brother and calls him "Candy" and "baby". She loves to "help" with a blanket or pacifier, and is pretty good with being gentle.
This week we had a joint appointment at the pediatrician's office - one for a two-week-old, and one for a two-year-old. Both received great reviews from the doctor, both are fine and healthy, which we couldn't be more happy and grateful for.
Our little sweetheart turned two yesterday, and we wanted to make sure she had a little party of her own. It's been a little tricky, having just brought home her new baby brother. On Saturday, she got to celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa Hennig with cake and presents. Last night, we had cupcakes, glow sticks, presents and punch balloons.
Our family is now a party of five with the addition of our son, Andrew James. He arrived on April 3rd at 5:17 p.m. He's about a pound smaller than his two siblings, at 8 lbs., 6 oz., 20.5 inches long, but he was induced at 39 weeks and one day so that I wouldn't have another extra-big baby. We are absolutely thrilled and grateful to have him here healthy, safe and sound!
